FWS

  • You must seek employment and secure a job on campus. Contact Career Services for assistance locating a job.
  • You must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits hours in a semester to receive Federal Work-Study. 
  • Federal Work-Study earnings should be monitored by both the employing department and the student to ensure that earnings do not exceed the work-study allocation.
  • You may work up to twenty (20) hours per week.
  • Hourly rate will be based on job duties and set between min wage - $17.02 per hour.
  • Your paychecks are processed bi-weekly and funds earned may be used to pay your educational expenses.

Funds and employment positions are limited and are available on a first come first served basis

Apply

  1. If you have not done so yet, complete  
  2. Apply for 2024-2025 Federal Work-Study by completing the .
  3. Review and apply for . (please make sure to have your resume ready to upload). 
    1. Please between 10am -5pm if you need help with Resume Building, S.T.A.R Interviewing Skills, FWS Orientation, and application process. 
  4. If you are the preferred candidate, you will receive, complete, and submit a New Hire Packet to the Human Resources Office in the Administration building.
  5. Once all the paperwork is processed and approved, you will receive a job contract from your hiring supervisor notifying you of your start and end dates.

Resignation

Complete the to resign from a fall 2024, spring 2025, and summer 2025 position.

 

Hiring

    1. Once the 'FWS Intent to Hire Form' has been completed and processed by all parties, you will receive an email to submit an 'FWS Student Employment Contract'. The contract must be completed and processed by all parties before the student can begin working. The Financial Aid Department will let you know once everything is complete.

Termination

Complete the to initiate the involuntary termination of a FWS employee.

After you have secured employment, your supervisor will give you further hiring instructions and provide you with the exact date you may begin working under the FWS Program.  NOTE:  New students must complete a New Hire Packet at Employee Services and receive an Employee ID Number before the Financial Aid Office can initiate the job hire process in HCM. This must be initiated by the supervisor..
