Profiles
¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ has a long and storied history. Many of the prominent citizens in Arizona, including former Phoenix mayor Phil Gordon ’70, the late Governor Rose Mofford ’72, and former Arizona chief justice Rebecca White Berch ‘74 can attribute the early days of their education to ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ. The college has also been home to such noted artists at Eric Fischl ’69, Ed Mell Jr. ’63, faculty emeritus Merrill Mahaffey and poet Stella Pope Duarte ’69. Other honorees of note include first Navajo President Peterson Zah ’60, Arizona Historian Marshall Trimble ’58, and Stevia Inventor, James Allen May ’56.
The ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ Alumni Association (¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏAA) Hall of Fame Gala celebrates the accomplishments of distinguished ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ alumni. The honorees are chosen for their dedication to students, their career successes, and/or making a lasting impact on their community. All proceeds from the ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏAA Hall of Fame Gala go to student scholarships.
Scholarships are one of the most important ways alumni and donors can make a lasting impact on student success. Alumni are a critical link in providing students with opportunities to make their dreams of a college education come true.
