College-Wide Centennial Celebrations, 2020-21

¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ has proudly served Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix for nearly 100 years. ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ's long history as an inclusive diverse institution will be celebrated during the 2020-21 academic year.  Proceeds from our Centennial celebrations will support the creation of the new My Future Scholarship, which aims to increase educational equity, access, and opportunity for disadvantaged populations.

Centennial Virtual Founders Day - 2020

September 14, 2020, Hannelly Center

  • 9 am - ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ invites you to celebrate one hundred years of equity and access in education. To commemorate ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ's proud history, ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ established Founders' Day, to commemorate the day the College was founded in 1920.  Join us for the first ever virtual Founders’ Day celebration! 

¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ has been a pioneering institution since its inception. Founders Day commemorates the anniversary of Phoenix Junior College (PJC as it was known then) founding and first classes on September 13, 1920.

BearApalooza! A ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ Centennial Celebration

A virtual celebration with fun demonstrations and a virtual campus tour, March 8 – 12, 2021. ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ alumnus Oscar De las salas (2001) and Harry Tolliver (1964) cruise campus in Harry’s 1920 Model-T Ford, sharing fun memories, showcasing ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ’s iconic buildings and the remarkable works of faculty and students. today to get important updates and be entered into a drawing to win a ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ swag bag.
