Luis Leyva’s path to success has been anything but conventional. As a first-generation college student, he faced the challenge of balancing full-time work and school, navigating financial obstacles, and even pausing his education. But through perseverance and the supportive community at ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ, Luis discovered his true passion in the legal field. Now on track to graduate in May 2025 with a paralegal degree, he is determined to use his skills to serve and empower the Latino community. ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ alumnus Eric Fischl celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the Eric Fischl Series and Vanguard Awards, which he began in 2005 as a way to honor the college's influence on his life an support aspiring artists.

Myrna Harrison, former president of Gateway, Rio Salado and ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ, passes away at the age of 93.

Musician Jason Mohlenbrock started taking piano lessons at the age of five. He could play by ear but couldn't read music. He attended ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ, where he found the confidence to not give up on a music career.

Sally Alsigab was born in Baghdad, Iraq. She and her dad are Deaf and learned Arabic Sign Language. When they were granted asylum in the US, both Sally and her father had to learn American Sign Language and English. That journey began at ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ, where Sally is set to graduate in May 2025 with her Associate's degree in Accounting.

Governor Katie Hobbs proclaimed November 18 - 22, 2024 as Arizona International Education Week. ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ celebrated our international community on campus with a range of cultural activities.
