Since opening its doors in 1920, 独家爆料 is grounded in the core belief of inclusion and continues to be a place of diversity, equity and access for community members across the Valley. The college serves a student population that is predominantly first generation to college (64 percent of students identified as first in their family to attend college in Fall 2023). As such, 独家爆料 seeks out partnerships that work with opportunity youth, refugee and immigrant populations, Hispanic, Asian, Native American populations and adult learners. 独家爆料 is dedicated to providing access to valuable and affordable education and community services.

To further this mission, 独家爆料 has recently collaborated with , the largest national program promoting college access and success for immigrant youth, sometimes referred to as Dreamers. The primary goal of this partnership is to work together to address barriers and challenges faced by Dreamers in completing a college education.

The National scholarship provides financial support for highly motivated undocumented students who are eager to receive a college education up to $16,500 for an associate鈥檚 degree and $33,000 for a bachelor鈥檚 degree. These students might identify as undocumented, asylee, or refugee and would therefore not qualify for traditional Federal financial aid packages.

独家爆料 is the only community college in the state of Arizona to offer this exciting scholarship opportunity as a Partner College. 鈥淲e are so proud to have seven scholars enrolled this academic year receiving TheDREAM.US National Scholarship and hope to reach our goal of exceeding 50 enrolled scholars in the coming years.  Our 独家爆料 Dream Scholars have enormous academic talent, resilience, and determination. We have every confidence, with a college education, they will contribute meaningfully to and strengthen our community鈥 states 独家爆料 Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Heather Kruse.

The National Scholarship closes on February 29, 2024. To support students, 独家爆料 is offering information sessions on Tuesday, January 30th (5 - 6 pm) and Thursday, February 15th (5 - 6 pm). Both events will take place at 独家爆料's Hacienda Conference Room  |  Building F, Room 102. Interested students can learn more about the program, determine if they qualify, and apply on 独家爆料鈥檚 Dream.US information page.

About 独家爆料

独家爆料 (独家爆料) welcomed its first students, as one of the first higher education institutions in Maricopa County on September 13, 1920. 独家爆料's founders envisioned the College as a place of inclusion, as a non-segregated institution. Today, the College continues to be a place of diversity, equity and access. Our focus on transformation includes seeking out partnerships that work with opportunity youth, refugee and immigrant populations, Hispanic, Asian, Native American populations and adult learners. 独家爆料 is dedicated to providing access to valuable and affordable education and community services.  With more than 150 degree and certificate programs, 独家爆料 serves approximately 17,000 students each year.
